Groceries Cost HOW Much?! Just a Regular Weekend...

Some weekends come with plans, reservations, and places to be. This was not one of those weekends. 😂
Saturday started with a mini grocery run, which also meant my regularly scheduled rant about the price of groceries because seriously... when did feeding yourself become a luxury experience? After recovering from the grocery bill, Sunday was much more my speed. I stayed home, puttered around the kitchen, and did what I'm loosely calling a "mini meal prep." And I do mean loosely. I made some homemade granola, lasagna, and pork ribs (for moms) so I'd have a few things ready to eat instead of constantly buying lunch and dinner during the week.
I even had plans to BBQ the ribs.
Had.
Because when I went to the balcony, I discovered that three bees had apparently moved in and claimed the space as their own. Now, I know it's technically my balcony, but apparently nobody told them that. And since they were looking a little too comfortable and I wasn't interested in negotiating the terms of our shared occupancy, the BBQ plans were officially cancelled. 😂 Sometimes you have to pick your battles. I chose indoor cooking.
And honestly, that's pretty much the weekend.
No big adventure. No elaborate plans. Just groceries, a little cooking, an unexpected bee takeover, and appreciating that not everything has to be exciting or perfectly planned to be worth enjoying—or remembering.
Sometimes nothing fancy is exactly what you need. 💗
Until next time,
xoxo,
Your Bald Bestie 💗
