Alopecia Support Meet-Ups

Whether you are newly diagnosed or have been living with alopecia for an extended period, you've landed in just the right place. Here we engage in lively discussions about alopecia’s nuances

and topics beyond hair loss.

Testimonials

I first met Christal at a hair treatment seminar, and we’ve bonded ever since. Having battled hair loss herself, Christal truly understands how difficult and discouraging the journey can be. She is incredibly selfless—always ready to listen, support, and encourage. Together, we now have a focus group that meets once a month via Zoom/Google Space. It’s a safe space where everyone can be vulnerable and authentic, without any restrictions. We openly discuss our individual hair loss journeys, explore potential treatments, and share updates on emerging hair loss solutions and other related activities. With her expertise, Christal also helped me secure an appointment with a dermatologist, including the possibility of a biopsy. I’m looking forward to my appointment and the next steps ahead. Christal, thank you for your tremendous support—I appreciate you more than words can express!

What to Expect

Prepare to unleash your true potential with a community that embraces authenticity over superficiality because YOU were never designed to be basic.

What We Do

In our Alopecia Support Group Meet Ups, we come together as a compassionate and understanding community to provide emotional support, share experiences, and exchange valuable information related to alopecia, a condition characterized by hair loss.

Our group serves as a safe space where individuals affected by alopecia can openly discuss their challenges, triumphs, and concerns.  We foster a sense of unity, empathy, and empowerment, aiming to alleviate the emotional impact of hair loss and promote self-confidence.

Together, we discover what it means to be Unapologetically Bare and, more importantly, why YOU were never designed to be basic!

Our Principles

Crown Chronicles Alopecia Support Meet-Ups emphasize three important principles: respect, privacy, and support.

RESPECT

Respectful Communication: Please be mindful of your language and tone. We all come from different backgrounds and experiences, so let's communicate with kindness and empathy.

Respect for Differences: Alopecia affects individuals in various ways. Some may be comfortable discussing their experiences openly, while others may prefer a more private approach. Let's respect these differences and support each other accordingly.

Cultural Sensitivity: Be aware of cultural differences and avoid making assumptions. What might be acceptable or helpful in one culture may not be in another.

PRIVACY

Confidentiality: What's shared in this session stays in this session. Please respect the privacy of others by not sharing personal stories or information outside of this group without explicit permission.

Anonymous Participation: If you prefer to remain anonymous, feel free to use a pseudonym or avoid sharing specific details that could identify you. Everyone's comfort and sense of safety are of utmost importance.

Consent for Advice: Before offering advice or suggestions, ask if the person is open to receiving them. Respect their boundaries and understand that not everyone may be seeking solutions at the same pace.

Google Meets Use: The Google Meets link is intended exclusively for the participants of the session, and its dissemination is strictly prohibited.

SUPPORT

Empathy and Validation: Everyone's journey with alopecia is unique. Offer empathy and validation rather than judgement. A supportive environment encourages open sharing and fosters a sense of community.

Encourage Positive Language: Let's focus on positive and empowering language. Instead of dwelling on the challenges, let's discuss coping mechanisms, personal growth, and achievements.

Resource Sharing: Feel free to share resources, whether it's information on treatments, support groups, or inspirational stories. However, always verify the information's credibility to ensure it's reliable.

Our primary goal is to create a space where everyone feels heard, understood, and supported. If at any point you feel uncomfortable or have concerns, please don't hesitate to let us know.
