Built From Experience

I'm Christal Malcolm — Hair Loss Mentor, Content Creator, and the woman behind Your Bald Bestie. For over 20 years, I've been living with Central Centrifugal Cicatricial Alopecia, and in 2022, I turned that lived experience into a brand rooted in honesty, depth, and the kind of connection that only comes from someone who has lived it.

That journey led me to create my signature Unapologetically Bare™ Mentorship Program — one-on-one support for women ready to work through the emotional weight of hair loss and build confidence entirely on their own terms. It's not about quick fixes, it's about realistic, personalized strategies that meet you exactly where you are.

That same spirit of showing up is what drives the Crown Chronicles, a monthly virtual community where alopecia is the thread that brings us together, but rarely the only thing on the table. Everything I do is for the women searching for representation, candid conversation, and hope.

UNPOLOGETIC
SELF-ACCEPTANCE

Believing beauty lies in authenticity while championing self-love not despite differences but

because of them.

RESILIANCE WITHOUT APOLOGY

Resilience isn't always loud—sometimes, it's showing up honestly when life feels hard, embracing both the tender and tough parts of yourself, even when you

don't feel ready.

VISIBILITY WITH PURPOSE

Driven by the belief that representation matters by proudly taking up space

to create room for

others to do the same.

COMMUNITY OVER COMPRISON

This community builds bridges, not pedestals. Because when we lift each other, everyone rises.

MY STORY

My hair loss journey began long before I had the words for it. What followed shaped everything you see here. Listen with an open heart and mind — you may find we have more in common than just alopecia.
